Alps2Alps, a tech-driven Alpine transfer company led by Artjoms Fokejevs and the team, has released a public API that allows tools like ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Perplexity to assist users in booking last-mile transfers across more than 1,000 Alpine destinations.
Until now, Alps2Alps has not offered a public API or supported price parsing. The launch is part of the company’s business-to-agent strategy, making its travel services accessible to AI agents as the market shifts from conversational systems toward agents capable of completing multi-step tasks. With the AI agents market projected to reach $52.62 billion by 2030, the new public API is available without registration or an API key.
What Changes for Travellers?
Through the API, AI assistants can provide live transfer options for a specific airport, resort and date, including real-time prices, passenger limits and luggage capacity. The service supports one-way and return journeys, as well as children requiring car seats and passengers travelling with ski equipment. A booking link then opens the Alps2Alps checkout with trip details pre-filled, leaving the traveller to authorise the purchase.
Artjoms Fokejevs, CEO of Alps2Alps, said the launch moves AI travel assistance beyond general recommendations toward direct booking. Instead of simply identifying available transfers, AI assistants can now take travellers from trip planning to the point of purchase in a single step.
Alpine’s Last-Mile Challenge.
Recent industry developments have focused on agentic flight booking, AI-powered itinerary planning and infrastructure connecting AI systems with travel platforms. Alps2Alps is applying the same agent-ready approach to Alpine ground transport, where airport-to-resort transfers involve highly specific operational factors.
Unlike flights or hotels, Alpine transfers depend on route availability, resort access, ski equipment, and seasonal demand. Without live data, AI assistants can only provide estimates. Alps2Alps’ API provides real-time pricing and vehicle availability, enabling more accurate recommendations and bookings.
The public API uses simple GET requests, making it accessible to AI tools and lightweight agent environments that may not support more complex integrations. As consumers increasingly turn to generative AI for product and service recommendations, access to live supplier data could make AI-powered travel planning more useful and actionable.
