Quantum Systems, an Aerial Intelligence company, led by Florian Seibel, Sven Kruck, and Dave Sharpin, has announced a long-term commitment to the United Kingdom with the establishment of Quantum-Systems Ltd. UK, following the full acquisition of Nordic Unmanned UK. Building on local competencies, capacities, and value chains, investments of €50 million are planned over the next five years.
This expansion aligns with the UK Ministry of Defence’s 20-40-40 strategy, which envisions a mix of crewed, reusable, and consumable systems. With its full-spectrum ISR portfolio and multi-domain MOSAIC UXS software, Quantum Systems is well-positioned to help deliver on this vision for greater autonomy and uncrewed systems.
Quantum Systems’ plan includes building infrastructure, local engineering, and partnerships with UK providers, alongside Service, Support, Training, and Logistics Center (SSTLC) capabilities, maintenance operations, and test facilities to create jobs and strengthen sovereign capability. A memorandum of understanding with Skyports, to be formalized at DSEI UK 2025, underscores the company’s commitment to the UK ecosystem.
At DSEI UK 2025, Quantum Systems is presenting Reliant, its new long-range ISR system that completes its aerial portfolio across short-, medium-, and long-range missions. Controlled via the multi-domain MOSAIC UXS software, Reliant reinforces the company’s ability to deliver end-to-end solutions for defence and security customers.
Quantum Systems has appointed Vito Tomasi as Managing Director of its UK arm. A former Royal Marine with global operational experience, Tomasi later held roles at Goldman Sachs and Speedinvest, bringing a unique blend of defence, finance, and technology expertise to drive the company’s UK growth.
