Octave.energy, providing cutting-edge energy management and storage systems, led by Maxime Snick, Nicolas Quintin, and the team, has raised €10 million in Series A funding to accelerate its expansion across Europe and further develop its Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) and Energy Management System (EMS) solutions. The round combines equity and flexible debt financing and was led by SPDG Growth, an investor in Octave.energy since its seed round, with participation from imec.istart, BNP Paribas Fortis, and KBC.
Taking Octave.energy to New European Markets.
Europe’s rapid electrification is putting pressure on grid capacity, creating congestion, volatile prices, and limits on business expansion. Battery storage can help, but the battery is only part of the solution.
Octave.energy combines Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) with its own Energy Management System (EMS) to help businesses maximize solar usage, reduce peak consumption, manage EV charging, and unlock flexibility in energy markets.
The new funding will support expansion across the Netherlands, France, and Germany, alongside Octave.energy’s installation partner network. Its first projects are already operational in Luxembourg, the Netherlands, and Spain.
Building on a Proven Model.
Since 2020, Octave.energy has deployed more than 200 MWh of battery storage for over 400 businesses, including Colruyt Group, McDonald’s, Eneco, Naturgy, and Nextensa.
The company has been profitable for three consecutive years and generated €16 million in revenue in 2025. The Series A will also fund further development of its EMS and asset management platforms to maximize battery performance throughout their lifetime.
The Next Chapter for Octave.energy.
Founded in 2020 around second-life battery storage, Octave.energy has evolved into an integrated platform combining battery technology, continuous monitoring, and intelligent energy management.
The new funding will help scale this model across Europe while advancing technology that gives businesses greater control over their energy.
