Moment, the AI operating system for investment management, led by Dylan Parker, Dean Hathout, and Ammer Soliman, has raised $78 million in a Series C funding round led by Index Ventures, with participation from Andreessen Horowitz, Avra, and other existing investors. This comes less than 10 months after Moment’s $36M Series B, which was also led by Index Ventures.
“Investment management is being rebuilt around AI, and it’s happening at Moment,” said Jan Hammer, Partner at Index Ventures. “We’ve backed the financial infrastructure companies that defined the last fintech era, and Moment is now being adopted by leading wealth firms as they build their next decade around its platform. We’re doubling down on the company, defining the AI era of investment management.”
The world’s largest wealth firms are building on Moment, including Edward Jones, LPL Financial, and Hightower Advisors.
The platform now supports investment management for firms overseeing more than $10 trillion in client assets, up from $300 billion less than 18 months ago, as AI adoption accelerates across major financial institutions.
“AI will define the next era of wealth management, and firms that succeed will pair it with the right infrastructure,” said Russ Tipper, Principal and Head of Products and Solutions at Edward Jones. “Moment combines AI-powered workflows with portfolio optimization to generate personalized client proposals in seconds, replacing manual processes with greater speed and precision, ultimately helping advisors serve clients more effectively.”
“Hightower One, built on Moment, unifies portfolio management, tax optimization, and transition management across equities and fixed income,” said Randy Bullard, Head of Investment Management at Hightower Advisors. “The platform could eventually support a significant share of assets while improving advisor and client experience through AI-enabled workflows.”
The AI operating system for investment management replaces legacy patchwork software, spanning fixed income, rebalancing, reporting, reconciliation, and more, with a single platform.
Moment is designed as an operating system where AI agents can run end-to-end workflows in a regulated investment environment.
Moment unifies trading, portfolio management, and compliance across asset classes and currencies in a single operating system.
Firms use it for AI portfolio construction from natural language, multi-asset optimization with tax-aware constraints, surveillance for tax and risk opportunities, PDF-based account normalization and transition proposals, real-time compliance monitoring, and automated order execution across asset classes.
“The largest financial institutions know they need to deploy agents, but the infrastructure to do so safely hasn’t existed,” said Dylan Parker, CEO and co-founder of Moment. “We built an operating system with a unified data model and regulatory-grade controls so AI can perform real work in investment management, with a modular design that lets firms adopt capabilities gradually as their governance evolves.”
