Harmattan AI, building the future of autonomous warfare, with speed and intelligence, led by Mouad M'Ghari, Martin de Gourcuff, Jean-Christophe Charlaix, Edouard Rosset, Jean-Patrice Coste, and others, has secured $200 million in a Series B funding round led by Dassault Aviation. The two companies have announced a strategic partnership to accelerate the integration of controlled autonomy and AI technologies into combat aviation systems.

Harmattan AI, awarded multiple Programs of Record by the French and UK Ministries of Defence, is now scaling globally to meet rising demand. Funds from the new investment round will support expansion of AI-enabled missions into new operational theaters, broaden the product portfolio, and scale manufacturing of its ISR, drone-interception, and electronic-warfare platforms.

“Technological excellence and sovereignty are core to Dassault Aviation’s values. Our partnership with Harmattan AI strengthens our commitment to integrating high-value autonomy into the next generation of combat air systems,” said Eric Trappier, Chairman and CEO of Dassault Aviation. “By working with a fast-moving, innovative company, we reinforce our ability to deliver the advanced capabilities our armed forces will need in the decades ahead.”

The partnership will accelerate the integration of Harmattan AI’s embedded AI across Dassault Aviation’s future air combat systems (Rafale F5 and UCAS), with a focus on unmanned aerial system control. It supports a broader strategy to ensure sovereign, controlled, and monitored AI within Dassault’s combat platforms.

“This partnership with Dassault Aviation is a decisive milestone in the rise of next-generation autonomous defense systems,” said Mouad M’Ghari, CEO and Co-Founder of Harmattan AI. “Dassault’s trust accelerates our mission to deliver scalable, sovereign AI capabilities to allied forces. By combining frontier AI with world-class military aviation expertise, we are shaping the future of collaborative air combat.”

Dassault Aviation will contribute its deep expertise in complex military system architecture, high-intensity mission system integration, and global business development through its established international network.
