WitnessAI, a platform that helps enterprises protect and accelerate their AI journey across the rapidly evolving AI tech stacks, led by Rick Caccia, Gil Spencer, Stephanie Gilliam, and others, has secured strategic funding of $58 million led by Sound Ventures, with participation from Fin Capital, Qualcomm Ventures, Samsung Ventures, and Forgepoint Capital Partners. The company also unveiled expanded agentic AI governance capabilities that bring observability to global enterprises developing and deploying AI agents.

WitnessAI secures enterprise AI adoption by monitoring agent activity, linking human and agent actions, and providing explainability across both workforces. It also extends AI protection to agents, blocking attacks and malicious prompts with intent-aware policies, safeguarding multi-generational AI applications.

WitnessAI, a leading AI security and governance platform, has grown ARR 5× in the past year and scaled headcount 5×, serving major enterprises across finance, utilities, automotive, airlines, retail, and telco. The latest funding accelerates market expansion and platform scaling.

“Ashton Kutcher, GP at Sound Ventures: ‘The primary barrier to enterprise AI adoption isn’t tech debt; it’s tech doubt. WitnessAI instills confidence for global leaders and is poised to set the standard for safe enterprise AI.”

“AI is hybrid, spanning cloud and edge, where privacy and security are critical,” said Tushar Gupta, Qualcomm Ventures. “WitnessAI governs and protects AI agents, models, applications, and users, building essential infrastructure for the agentic era.”

A Samsung Ventures VP added, “As AI moves to devices, security must protect desktops, servers, and mobile endpoints. WitnessAI’s scalable architecture enables global enterprise AI adoption.”

“Financial services leads in technology adoption, and WitnessAI is positioned to be the category leader in secure AI for banks, asset managers, and insurers,” said Logan Allin, Fin Capital.

Keiji Matsunaga, SMBC, added: “AI adoption requires innovation plus the highest standards of security and accountability. WitnessAI supports responsible implementation.”

Rick Caccia, CEO of WitnessAI: “We are the only vendor securing every AI interaction with a unified solution, avoiding the complexity of stitching together multiple security tools.”
