Uplift Ventures, an independently operating venture platform investing in and building startups shaping the future of Physical AI, Energy, Enterprise AI, and Logistics, has announced the launch of its inaugural €100 million venture capital fund, dedicated to backing Europe's next generation of Deep Tech founders. Uplift Ventures plans to back up to 20 startups and selected Deep Tech funds from its €100 million fund, creating a unique global network that benefits founders long after the initial investment. The VC firm focuses on companies building transformative technologies across Physical AI, Energy, Enterprise AI, and Logistics, with investments primarily across Europe and the US.

The fund targets a major financing gap in Europe by backing ambitious Deep Tech companies at the late Seed and Series A stages, where breakthrough technologies often struggle to secure sufficient capital despite growing investor interest.

An Experienced Team with Decades of Deep Tech Investing.

Christian Noske joins Uplift Ventures as General Partner, alongside Kerk Wichmann, Christina Hammes, and Maike Steding. He brings more than a decade of Deep Tech investment experience across Europe, having led European investments at NGP Capital and served as a founding partner at BMW i Ventures and Alliance Ventures. His portfolio includes The Exploration Company, ANYbotics, Tekion, Dataloop, and WeRide.

The investment team, Katharina Schild, Lukas Böttcher, Susan Suzart, and Helge Jelinski, brings experience from firms and startups including Cathay Innovation, Speedinvest, Mimic Robotics, and Start Global. Collectively, the team has backed more than 30 startups across multiple technology sectors.

Backing Companies with Long-Term Conviction.

Deep Tech has become one of venture capital’s fastest-growing sectors, but investment remains concentrated in later-stage mega rounds and a small group of high-profile companies. Uplift Ventures focuses on backing potential category leaders at earlier stages, before they reach that level of visibility.

The fund takes a flexible approach, serving as lead, co-lead, or participating investor depending on the needs of each round. Beyond capital, Uplift Ventures provides strategic guidance, international market access, customer introductions, and connections to a global investor network.

"We've spent years investing in Deep Tech and have seen both the many ways these companies can fail and what it takes to build exceptional outcomes”, said Christian Noske, General Partner at Uplift Ventures. “I'm excited about launching Uplift Ventures' new fund: Europe needs dedicated Deep Tech investors who are in it for the long run. Founders build great companies, we're here to have their backs and provide resources, experience, and a global perspective.”

Supported by Long-Term Partners.

The fund is backed by Jungheinrich, as a long-term commitment to share Uplift Ventures' investment strategy and purpose to back European Deep Tech innovation.

"Deep Tech requires patient capital and partners who understand both industrial challenges and entrepreneurial ambition”, said Dr. Lars Brzoska, CEO, Jungheinrich. “Uplift Ventures invests in the next generation of industrial leaders, making them an important partner for Jungheinrich, firstly with world-class financial returns and with immense value for our 2030+ strategy."

Building on Europe’s Industrial Legacy.

Uplift Ventures sees Europe as well positioned to build the next generation of globally relevant technology companies, drawing on its deep talent, industrial base, customer networks, and capital. The opportunity spans both the evolution of industrial champions such as ABB, Siemens, Schneider Electric, and Rolls-Royce and the creation of entirely new technology categories.

The launch of the first fund marks the foundation of a broader investment platform, with the team set to expand and begin making its first investments in 2026.
