Titan OS, a technology company headquartered in Barcelona, specializes in developing software and solutions to unleash the full potential of Connected TV, led by Jacinto Roca, Tim Edwards, Daan Van Baars, Jim Collins, and others, has secured €50 million in Series A funding, led by Highland Europe, with participation from Mangrove Capital Partners and other investors.
Founded in 2023 by entrepreneur Jacinto Roca, previously the founder of Wuaki.tv, later acquired by Rakuten, together with co-founders Timothy Edwards, Miquel Barba, and Tobias Pfalzgraff, Titan OS was established with a mission to transform content discovery and improve how brands reach audiences on connected TVs. The latest funding will support continued product development, enabling enhanced user experiences for both end viewers and ecosystem partners.
Operating for over two years, TitanOS has scaled revenues tenfold, reached more than 18 million active users, and licensed its technology to major global TV brands including Philips, Sony, Vestel, and JVC. The platform integrates content, technology, and advertising into a single ecosystem, enabling TV manufacturers, content owners, and advertisers to deliver a unified, profitable, and user-centric connected TV experience.
Recent research shows that viewers lose roughly 110 hours per year navigating streaming services to find content. Titan OS reduces this search burden through a content-first design that surfaces personalised recommendations based on viewing patterns. Seamless navigation enables effortless access to streaming entertainment directly from the homepage, the Electronic Programme Guide (EPG), or with a single click of the remote control.
For advertisers, global Connected TV ad spend is projected to exceed $38 billion by 2027. With homepage, in-stream, and shoppable ad formats, Titan OS enables brands to reach hard-to-access audiences through highly relevant advertising experiences.
Timothy Edwards, COO and Co-founder of TitanOS, noted that the investment marks a significant milestone, strengthening the company’s ambition to build Europe’s leading independent Connected TV operating system. He added that the strong momentum of the past two years represents only an early phase, with further fundraising planned next year to support expansion and broaden the platform’s impact across global partners and audiences.
Laurence Garrett, General Partner at Highland Europe, emphasized TitanOS’s role in reshaping the connected TV landscape with a platform that competes with global leaders while retaining a strong foundation in European innovation. He highlighted the company’s vision, technology, and team as key advantages that position TitanOS for global leadership in the next era of television.
With the new round of funding, TitanOS is set to reinforce its position as Europe’s leading independent Connected TV platform, broaden its global OEM partnerships, and accelerate investment in product innovation and advertising technology to elevate both user experience and monetization for ecosystem partners. The company now employs more than 200 people, with headquarters in Barcelona and additional offices in Amsterdam and Taipei.
