Led by Maarten van Dijk(CEO & Co-Founder) & Theye Veen(Chief Commercial Officer & Co-Founder), Skynrg has raised Euro 300 Million led by Dutch Pension Asset Manager APG while returning investor Macquarie Asset Management contributed €50 million.
The funding will support three large-scale SAF plants in Europe and North America, accelerating the adoption of clean jet fuel. SkyNRG is expanding around its flagship SAF plant in Delfzijl, Netherlands, developed with Skellefteå Kraft. The facility will produce 100,000 tonnes of SAF annually using green hydrogen and captured CO₂, cutting lifecycle emissions by over 80%.
SkyNRG, the first to supply SAF for commercial flight(KLM, 2011), now serves 40+ airlines worldwide as a trusted industry leader. Unlike large energy players, SkyNRG manages the entire SAF value chain—ensuring quality, reliability, and sustainability. Its co-funding model with airlines and corporations helps bridge the cost gap with fossil fuels, while regional projects like DSL-01 reduce transport emissions and boost local economies. Beyond production, SkyNRG leads in SAF research, advisory, and policy support, with initiatives like “Board Now” enabling corporate climate action. Its holistic approach, from supply to impact, sets it apart in the race to decarbonize aviation.
