Six Robotics, an Oslo-based company developing swarm autonomy as a force multiplier, led by Christian Fredrik Eggesbø, Mathias Nedrebø, Cecilie Hammer, Ole Jørgen Seeland, Oscar Heyden, and Kristine Angeltvedt, has raised a €12 million equity financing round led by DTCP, with participation from EIFO (Export and Investment Fund of Denmark) and Scale Capital, alongside other private investors.
The funding will accelerate product development, expand customer deployments across European and allied defence markets, and grow the team to support continued scaling.
Autonomous Defence Platform.
Six Robotics is developing an autonomy platform that enables multiple unmanned systems to coordinate and operate together in real time across complex and contested environments. The company's swarm autonomy technology is designed to enhance mission effectiveness by allowing autonomous systems to adapt collaboratively in conditions where traditional platforms face operational limitations.
The platform is being developed in close collaboration with the Norwegian Armed Forces and the Norwegian Defence Research Establishment (FFI), ensuring its capabilities align with real-world defence requirements and operational needs.
Investor Support.
The funding round brings together European investors with expertise in defence, technology commercialization, and strategic industrial development. It is led by DTCP Defence, a €500 million venture capital fund focused exclusively on defence, security, and resilience technologies, with participation from EIFO, Denmark's state-owned export and investment fund, and Scale Capital.
The investors highlighted Six Robotics' software-first approach to autonomous swarming, cross-platform interoperability, and defence innovation, emphasizing the company's potential to strengthen European defence capabilities. The funding will also support the company's international expansion, including planned operations in Denmark.
Scaling European Defence Autonomy.
As unmanned systems become increasingly central to modern defence operations, demand for autonomous capabilities continues to grow. Six Robotics is developing software designed to support this transition and strengthen Europe's position in defence autonomy.
Following the completion of its Seed funding round, the company plans to accelerate product development, expand its technical and operational teams, and grow its international presence while maintaining the agility that has driven its early progress. CEO and Founder Christian Fredrik Eggesbø said the investment provides the resources needed to scale the company’s ambitions and advance its long-term growth strategy.
CEO Statement.
Christian Fredrik Eggesbø, CEO of Six Robotics, said collaborative autonomy will play a defining role in the future of defence and emphasized the importance of developing sovereign European software capabilities. He noted that the new funding will accelerate the company's mission to advance autonomous defence technologies and strengthen Europe's strategic independence.
