Valon Announces Series D, Deploying ValonOS and AI to the Mortgage Industry

Valon, the AI-native operating system for mortgage servicing, led by Andrew Wang, Linda Du, and the team, has raised $150 million in Series D funding at a $2.3 billion valuation.
For six years, Valon operated its own mortgage servicing business on ValonOS, proving its technology in one of the most regulated industries in the U.S. Last year, Valon sold its servicing business and opened ValonOS to the broader mortgage industry.
The platform quickly attracted major servicers including Newrez, Carrington Mortgage Services, and ServiceMac. Within six months, Valon signed more than $200 million in annual recurring revenue, with 1 in 6 U.S. mortgages now signed up to run on ValonOS.
The Long-Running Economy.
Paying for a coffee takes seconds. Paying off a mortgage can take 30 years. While technology has made the former effortless, the infrastructure behind the latter, servicing, still largely runs on systems built before the internet.
Servicing manages long-running financial relationships across loans, insurance, and leases. Mortgage servicing is the largest and most complex, supporting a $13 trillion market with extensive regulatory oversight. Yet many processes remain costly and highly manual.
AI could transform this infrastructure, but adoption remains early. The challenge is increasingly not intelligence, but context and change management, particularly within regulated enterprises running on legacy systems.
As AI makes long-running financial transactions more seamless, the potential extends beyond efficiency. Lower friction can expand economic activity and create more value for institutions and consumers alike.
The opportunity is to build the infrastructure and AI agents for that economy.
ValonOS as the Single System of Record.
The mortgage industry has long relied on legacy systems, adding workarounds rather than making foundational technology investments. In an agentic world, however, servicers without an AI-native core risk falling behind.
ValonOS provides that core: a unified operating system combining accounting ledgers, servicing data, reporting, workflows, and compliance logic into a single contextual layer. Deterministic actions, such as applying payments or paying tax bills, also happen within the platform.
With people and AI agents working from the same source of truth and guardrails, ValonOS enables agents to safely perform real work in a highly regulated environment.
ValonOS is already live at two of the ten largest mortgage servicers in the U.S.
Deploying AI Into a Regulated Industry.
Valon launched Ditto, an AI agent built natively on ValonOS, to automate complex servicing workflows. Through Valon’s agent-building platform, Ditto can adapt to customer-specific processes and workflows.
Today, Ditto handles homeowner communications, escrow analysis, complaint research, payment reallocations, and more. It can investigate tax exemptions, reconcile payment activity with credit bureau reports, and draft responses, turning work that once took days or weeks into near-instant processes.
The goal is a servicing experience that is more personal, proactive, and responsive, while enabling servicers to improve customer loyalty and operate more efficiently.
