QuamCore Bags $26 Million in Series A to Build the World's First 1-million-qubit Quantum Computer in a Single Cryostat

QuamCore, an Israeli Quantum Computing company, led by Alon Cohen(CEO), Prof. Shay Hacohen-Gourgy(CTO), Prof. Serge Rosenblum(Chief Scientist), and Prof. Eby G. Friedman(Scientific Founding Member), announced a $26 million funding round led by Sentinel Global, with participation from Arkin Capital, Viola Ventures, Earth & Beyond Ventures, Surround Ventures, Rhodium, Qbeat Ventures, and a $4M non-dilutive grant from the Israel Innovation Authority, bringing the total funding to $35 million. This funding round enables the transition from design to fabrication, advancing the path toward fault-tolerant, scalable quantum computing.
Reaching one million qubits isn’t just symbolic—it’s essential for unlocking practical quantum advantage. This breakthrough embeds low-power control logic inside the cryostat, removing thermal bottlenecks that limit traditional superconducting systems—the result: a compact, scalable architecture that redefines what’s achievable in quantum computing.
QuamCore’s superconducting quantum processor architecture is designed to overcome scalability challenges through an integrated digital superconducting chipset that boosts qubit density, built-in error-correction for fault tolerance, over 1000x cabling reduction for simplicity, and ultra-low power dissipation—enabling over 1 million qubits in a single cryostat.
