Pulse Space, building the power grid for space, led by Karl Stedman and the team, has announced a $40 million contract award from the United States Space Force for technology development, the largest award in the company's history.

Karl Stedman said the $40 million award marks a major milestone for Pulse Space, supporting its partnership with the United States Space Force to advance laser-based technologies and accelerate the company’s technical development roadmap.

The award is one of the largest secured by a company at Pulse Space’s stage and highlights the growing role of venture-backed startups in national security space programs. The Space Force is increasingly using rapid acquisition pathways, including STRATFI agreements and Other Transaction Authority mechanisms, to accelerate the deployment of emerging space technologies.
