Founded by technologist Jenny Wang, Altadaily, a personal styling agent company has raised $11 Million in a seed funding round led by Menlo Ventures. The company is backed by Michelle Obama’s stylist Meredith Koop and other investors including Benchstrength, Aglaé Ventures(the investment firm backed by the Arnault family of LVMH), Phenomenal Ventures, Anthropic’s VC arm Anthology fund, and angels like Tony Xu of Doordash, Jenny Fleiss of Rent the Runway and Manish Chandra of Poshmark, as reported in Tech Crunch.

The product is inspired by the movie Clueless, where just like the character Cher, users can plan an outfit from their closet using AI, and try on looks with their personalized virtual avatar.

The company plans to use the funding for growing the team and fund research and development. Alta has plans to expand to parts of Oceania and the Pacific and has big plans to partner with retailers worldwide. The company has already entered into a partnership with the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) to offer Alta to its membership base.
