PermitFlow, the leading AI pre-construction platform built for construction and trades, led by Francis Thumpasery and Samuel Lam, has secured a $54 million Series B funding round, led by Accel with participation from Kleiner PerkinsFelicisInitialized CapitalAltos VenturesY Combinator, and other existing investors.

Since its 2021 launch, PermitFlow has scaled its construction platform and AI agents to manage over $20 billion in construction value nationwide, establishing itself as the leading AI platform in the industry. This growth has earned the trust of major builders, including Amazon, Lennar, Service Experts, IKEA, and Toll Brothers, while advancing missions in housing affordability, clean energy, infrastructure renewal, and economic growth.

“Builders are the backbone of America. They put families in homes, enhance critical infrastructure, and shape communities. Yet the systems behind that progress are decades old,” said Francis Thumpasery, Co-Founder & CEO of PermitFlow. “PermitFlow brings AI to construction, enabling builders to turn plans into progress faster than ever.”

Builders using PermitFlow’s platform have shortened project timelines by up to 60%, reduced workloads by 90%, and achieved 5x ROI. These results are driven by a proprietary dataset of over 12 million permitting records, which fuel the platform’s AI agents and automations. By streamlining fragmented workflows that traditionally slow construction, teams can advance projects with greater speed and confidence.

“Outdated construction workflows remain one of the biggest barriers to housing affordability, infrastructure modernization, and clean energy scaling,” said Samuel Lam, Co-Founder & CTO of PermitFlow. “Our AI agents power the physical world, demonstrating that smarter construction can tackle America’s supply constraints and affordability challenges.”

This milestone builds on rapid momentum since last year’s Series A, highlighted by 10x revenue growth and the launch of new AI Agents for Inspections, License Management, and more. The new funding will support continued expansion of the team and technology, advancing the modernization of the trillion-dollar U.S. construction industry.
