NewCore Emerges from Stealth to Rebuild Workforce Identity for the Agentic Era

NewCore, the security-first identity platform built for humans and AI agents, led by Zohar Alon, Amihai Neiderman, and Erez Yarkoni, has emerged from stealth and has raised $66 million from Cyberstarts, Index Ventures, and Evolution Equity Partners. It is led by a founding team of cybersecurity and enterprise-IT veterans whose prior exits include Check Point's acquisition of Dome9.


Identity has emerged as the primary attack surface within modern enterprises. Many of the largest security breaches in recent years, including incidents involving MGM, Change Healthcare, Snowflake customers, and major identity platforms, can be traced back to a common challenge: identity infrastructure built for a previous era, now tasked with managing a workforce and threat landscape far beyond its original design.


Rethinking Identity for the Agentic Era.


The rise of AI agents is reshaping enterprise operations, with software agents increasingly working alongside human employees and requiring rapid, granular, and revocable access to production systems. However, many of today's leading identity platforms were designed more than a decade ago for a world centered on employees accessing web applications, relying on technologies such as SAML, static service accounts, and password-based session tokens.


As enterprise environments evolve, the limitations of these legacy architectures are becoming more apparent. Addressing the demands of the agentic era requires more than incremental improvements or add-on solutions; it calls for a fundamentally new identity platform built specifically for AI-native environments from the ground up.

AI agents are treated as first-class identities with dedicated lifecycle management, trust scoring, and revocation mechanisms rather than being managed as conventional service accounts. To support enterprise adoption, NewCore provides an Agentic Skill package that integrates with leading coding agents such as Claude Code, Codex, and Cursor, enabling secure authentication and operation within enterprise trust frameworks.


To strengthen authentication, NewCore replaces traditional, phishable factors with hardware-bound credentials anchored in technologies such as TPM and Secure Enclave. Its VisualMFA system introduces an out-of-band verification method designed to resist replay, relay, and social-engineering attacks.


Beyond authentication and access control, the platform continuously discovers and maps identities across the enterprise, including shadow accounts, orphaned credentials, and unmanaged AI agents that often remain invisible to legacy systems. This visibility provides organizations with a more complete understanding of their identity landscape and associated risks.


Migration is handled through an agent-driven coexistence model that preserves existing federations and policies, allowing organizations to transition to the platform with minimal disruption and no downtime for users or applications.


Engineered for environments where AI agents may eventually outnumber human users by a wide margin, NewCore positions identity security around a single objective: reducing enterprise risk rather than simply managing access.
