Minitap, an AI-powered mobile development platform, led by Nicolas Dehandschoewercker and Luc Mahoux-Nakamura, has secured $4.1 million in seed funding from Moxxie Ventures, Mercuri, EWOR, Tekton Ventures, Amigos Venture Capital, and six unicorn founders - Thomas Wolf (Hugging Face), Stefan Glanzer & Michael Breidenbrucker (Last.fm), Paul Muller (Adjust), Petter Made (SumUp), Daniel Krauss, Jochen Engert & André Schwämmlein (FlixBus), and Saturnin Pugnet (Worldcoin).

AI tools have transformed web development, but mobile remains slow: web teams ship in days, while mobile teams still wait weeks because AI models can’t see devices, test builds, or iterate when things break. Minitap was built to close that gap and give mobile developers the same speed and experimentation advantage.

Founded by longtime mobile builders Luc and Nico, the platform enables faster iteration and higher experiment velocity across mobile teams. Within 40 days, minitap reached #1 on the AndroidWorld mobile-use benchmark, outperforming Google DeepMind, ByteDance, Microsoft, and Alibaba, and its open-source release has already attracted nearly 1,900 GitHub stars.

Today, teams using Minitap are already shipping mobile features in a fraction of the traditional timeline. The roadmap goes even further: toward apps that learn, experiment, and optimize themselves autonomously.

Minitap was created after experiencing firsthand the limits and bottlenecks of mobile development, with the goal of removing those constraints for the entire industry. The platform is built for mobile teams to test, push, and explore what’s possible, and its impact will ultimately be defined by what developers create with it.
