Maven Robotics, an intelligent industrial robotics company, led by Hamza Derbas and Khalid Derbas, has announced its launch with $100 million in Series A funding from RoboStrategy, LocalGlobe, Vine Ventures, and XTX Ventures, among others.

Maven designs, builds, and deploys intelligent robotics for logistics and manufacturing. Founded in 2024, the company has created the world's first general-purpose robotics system for industrial work.

The Industrial Robotics Opportunity.

US manufacturing faces a growing labor shortage, with more than 480,000 jobs currently unfilled and up to 2.1 million potentially unfilled by 2030. While global VC investment in robotics reached $18.8 billion in the first half of 2026, real-world deployment remains limited because industrial environments require reliable autonomous systems capable of performing complex tasks consistently.

Maven is building an integrated robotics platform combining hardware, software, and AI across the robot, fleet, factory, and broader network. The company initially focused on mixed-case palletizing and tote handling, an estimated $80 billion market, and is now expanding into more complex material handling and assembly workflows representing a market of more than $1 trillion.

“Intelligent industrial robots promise an incredible future. If we can activate autonomous labor, we can build a world of infinitely elastic industrial capacity,” said Hamza Derbas, Maven Robotics CEO. “We are building the system to make that a reality.”

Experienced Founding Team.

Maven Robotics was co-founded by brothers Hamza and Khalid Derbas. CEO Hamza brings more than two decades of experience developing autonomous systems, while CFO Khalid is an experienced investor and operator with a track record of scaling businesses globally.

The team combines 200+ years of experience across AI, robotics, engineering, and autonomous systems, with backgrounds at Apple, Tesla, Rivian, Cruise, Zoox, Ford, and Archer Aviation.

"We believe general-purpose robotics has one of the largest market opportunities in technology," said Jack Pearson, Principal at RoboStrategy, the lead investor in Maven's Series A. "But there's a huge gap between a robot that demos well and one that survives three production shifts a day, seven days a week. Maven has a top-tier team with a track record of shipping high-performing products, and they've taken that experience and built a general-purpose robot designed to meet large enterprise requirements at scale."

Growing Demand and Real-World Deployment.

Maven has already deployed autonomous robot fleets with a Fortune 250 consumer packaged goods company, operating across multiple shifts each day. The company is expanding to additional customers and deployments, targeting 100,000+ hours of autonomous operations by the end of 2026 and 1 million+ hours by the end of 2027.
