Manus, building general AI agents as the Action Engine for life, led by Red Xiao (Xiao Hong), Yichao "Peak" Ji, Tao Zhang, and others, has joined Meta.
Manus launched to develop a general-purpose AI agent capable of handling research, automation, and complex workflows. Ongoing product iteration has strengthened reliability and expanded applicability across an increasing number of real-world scenarios. Within a few months, the system has processed more than 147 trillion tokens and supported the deployment of over 80 million virtual computers.
The long-term promise of autonomous agents underpins this advancement, further positioning Manus as an execution layer that transforms advanced AI capabilities into scalable, dependable systems capable of delivering end-to-end work in real-world environments.
Continuity and stability remain central to the transition, with no disruption expected for existing users. The product subscription service will remain available through the app and website, and company operations will continue to be based in Singapore.
The platform currently delivers value to millions of users worldwide, with longer-term ambitions centered on extending the subscription offering to businesses and individuals across Meta’s ecosystem.
According to Xiao Hong, CEO of Manus, the move to Meta provides a stronger and more sustainable foundation, while preserving operational independence and continuity of decision-making. The collaboration is expected to support ongoing product iteration and continued focus on serving the user base that has shaped Manus since its inception.
