Loft Dynamics, the industry leader in next-generation aviation training, led by Fabian Riesen, Jean Auclair, Christian Marty, Roger Rykart, and others, has raised $24 million (USD) in a Series B funding round led by Friedkin with participation from Alaska Airlines and existing shareholders Sky Dayton and Craft Ventures, as well as UP.Partners. The round brings Loft Dynamics’ total funding to $60 million (USD) and marks a major step forward in expanding its commercial airline offerings while continuing to grow its core helicopter business.
Loft Dynamics built the world’s only FAA- and EASA-qualified VR helicopter simulator, trusted by operators like Airbus and the LAPD. With new investment, the company is now scaling its tech to revolutionize airline pilot training.
Loft Dynamics is building the world’s first fully integrated, cloud-connected pilot training suite—designed to be safer, more immersive, and highly scalable. Initial offerings include compact, cost-efficient VR simulators for Boeing 737 and Airbus A320, featuring full-motion cockpits, body and eye tracking, AI-driven feedback, and LofTWIN—a virtual demo mode for on-demand lessons. These systems enable pilots to regularly train for any scenario, including rare or high-risk events.
To boost accessibility, Loft Dynamics is developing a spatial computing–powered home training kit, enabling pilots to train and review sessions remotely. As part of the investment, aviation leader Dan Friedkin joins the board alongside Series A investors Sky Dayton and Ben Marcus.
