Intelic, creating trusted Mission Autonomy for military uncrewed systems, and unifying them with intuitive intent-based Command & Control, led by Maurits Korthals Altes, Jeroen Lappenschaar, and Marc Derksen, has launched Intelic BASE that links drone makers with defense ministries.

At launch, the platform connects drone and unmanned systems manufacturers across Europe, including France, Germany, the United Kingdom, Ukraine, the Netherlands, Portugal, Latvia, Luxembourg, Lithuania, and Czechia, offering governments direct visibility into interoperable capabilities across the region’s defense industrial base. The initiative is being developed with input from multiple European Ministries of Defense.

The platform brings together a strong group of European partners, including Acecore Technologies, Airvolute, Avy, Beyond Vision, DeltaQuad, Height Technologies, Highcat, and TAF Industries.

Collectively, these partners span Europe and Ukraine, combining expertise across ISR, strike, and counter-UAV systems.

In addition to the named partners, the consortium includes several undisclosed Ukrainian participants. Collectively producing over 100,000 UAVs per month across ISR, strike, and counter-UAV systems and generating more than $1.5 billion in sales, their involvement highlights the scale of industrial capacity and operational experience within Ukraine’s defense ecosystem.

The platform is the first of its kind in Europe, drawing inspiration from procurement models developed in Ukraine that enable defense ministries to identify and compare drone systems in a single place, significantly accelerating the path from operational need to deployment.

As European governments ramp up defense spending in response to Russia’s war in Ukraine, the ability to quickly identify interoperable capabilities within Europe’s industrial base has become a strategic priority. However, fragmented procurement systems across the continent continue to slow deployment and limit visibility into available solutions.

“Europe already possesses the industrial capacity and battlefield-proven drone technologies required,” said Maurits Korthals Altes. “What has been missing is a shared operational layer that makes those capabilities visible, interoperable, and deployable across borders. Strengthening that connection is essential for a stronger Europe.”

Interoperability as a Foundation for European Capability Readiness

The platform integrates with Nexus, a shared command-and-control layer that enables unmanned systems from different manufacturers to operate together in a single mission environment.

Deployed in Ukraine since 2025, it ensures interoperability before procurement, reducing integration risk and accelerating deployment, supporting a broader shift toward coalition-based operations across Europe.

Supporting a More Resilient European Defense Ecosystem

Unlike traditional procurement models, where vendors are assessed individually, and interoperability is addressed later, the platform allows Ministries of Defense to explore systems already prepared for coalition deployment.

By enabling direct engagement between governments and European manufacturers, without intermediaries or resellers, it accelerates capability discovery and supports a more responsive and resilient European security architecture.
