Littlebird, the AI assistant that thinks like you, led by Alap Shah, Alexander Green, and Naman Shah, has raised $11 million led by Lotus Studio, with participation from Lenny Rachitsky, Scott Belsky, Gokul Rajaram, Justin Rosenstein, Shawn Wang, and Russ Heddleston.

Modern computing increasingly feels adversarial, driven by attention-driven business models that prioritize engagement over user experience. What was once envisioned as a tool to augment the mind has, in many cases, evolved into a system that competes for attention. A shift toward ‘quiet computers’ reflects a vision for technology that serves without distraction.

Littlebird is a desktop app that captures and organizes activity across meetings, messages, documents, and browsing, helping prioritize work, recall context, and move projects forward. Using advanced screen reading, it understands on-screen text across applications without complex setup, building a detailed view of conversations, tasks, and priorities. This contextual intelligence extends working memory and enhances focus and creativity, while maintaining user control over what is seen, stored, and forgotten with a strong emphasis on privacy and security.

The range of use cases spans far beyond a single category, with Littlebird delivering increasingly insightful responses across tasks such as prioritization, decision-making, knowledge gaps, and even personal planning. Its effectiveness stems from a deep contextual understanding of ongoing work and activities.

Despite its simple and elegant interface, the underlying system remains complex and continuously evolving. As an early-stage product and active research effort, it tackles some of the most challenging problems in computing. While not always perfectly accurate, its ability to build a nuanced understanding of workflows and priorities highlights its potential.
