enclaive, a deep tech cybersecurity company specializing in confidential computing, led by Andreas Walbrodt and Sebastian Gajek, has announced the successful closing of a €4.1 million Seed funding round, co-led by Join Capital and the Amadeus APEX Technology Fund, with participation from Auriga Cyber Ventures.
Accelerating AI adoption, stricter data regulations, and increasingly sophisticated cyber threats have turned cloud computing into a high-stakes tradeoff. While the cloud delivers scale, security concerns continue to stall adoption, with many organizations seeking a way forward without relying on implicit trust in infrastructure.
The critical challenge lies in data processing, where even momentary exposure can create material risk, particularly across the public sector, finance, healthcare, critical infrastructure, and AI workloads. enclaive addresses this gap by making confidential computing practical at scale. Its Multi Cloud Platform (eMCP) enables applications to run inside secure enclaves across any cloud provider, keeping data protected at all times without requiring changes to existing code, tools, or processes.
As AI and sensitive workloads move into multi-cloud environments, the gap between cloud adoption and trust has widened, driving demand for security guarantees beyond traditional perimeter and policy-based controls. enclaive addresses this need by shielding data, microservices, and AI models from unauthorized access at all times, removing the requirement to trust underlying cloud infrastructure.
The platform makes confidential computing accessible by combining hardware-based memory encryption, unlockable only by the CPU, with a software layer that enables deployment in days rather than months. An operations-first, modular architecture allows rapid rollout without heavy development effort, supporting enterprise workloads such as Kubernetes, virtual machines, and AI applications across multiple cloud providers while maintaining vendor independence and full control over trust elements.
enclaive is positioned as a breakthrough in confidential computing, delivering a zero-code-change platform designed to scale and support mainstream AI adoption. By enabling encrypted data processing even during execution, the technology addresses long-standing security challenges and growing data sovereignty concerns intensified by regulations such as the U.S. Cloud Act.
The funding will support commercial scaling through expanded sales and marketing, continued development of the eMCP platform, growth of engineering and operations teams, and initial international expansion.
Founded in 2022, enclaive operates with a distributed 20-person team across Berlin and the EU and has received multiple industry awards, including the 2025 Prix Croissance at the InCyber Forum, 2024 TeleTrust Product of the Year, and the 2023 ITSA Up Award.
