Gosta Labs, an AI Operating System reducing administrative work and bringing clarity to complex clinical data, led by Lauri Sippola, Henri Viertolahti, Lionel Hadjadjeba, and others, has secured an oversubscribed €7.5 million seed round led by Voima Ventures, with participation from COR Group, the Aho family, and both existing and new investors, including Reaktor and a group of notable angel investors.

Cancer care is becoming increasingly complex, with more than 35 million new cases expected annually by 2050. Clinicians already face fragmented systems, unstructured data, and mounting administrative burdens, while treatment options continue to expand.

Gosta Labs offers an AI-powered oncology operating system that turns each patient visit into structured data in real time. The platform automates documentation, visualizes patient journeys, and aligns treatment decisions with international guidelines, enabling faster, more consistent, and data-driven cancer care. Gosta Labs’ AI operating system is already in use with leading healthcare providers in Finland, Switzerland, the Baltics, and Australia.

At ESMO 2025, real-world results showed that the Gosta AI Operating System generates high-quality oncology notes in real time, automatically classifies key clinical metrics, and reduces follow-up documentation to under two minutes, significantly easing clinicians’ workload.

Founded in 2023 by Lauri Sippola and Henri Viertolahti, previous founders of Kaiku Health (acquired by Elekta in 2020), Gosta Labs builds on a proven track record in scaling regulated digital health globally. The team brings together AI experts and seasoned oncology and medtech leaders, including Chief Medical Officer Dr. Lionel Hadjadjeba and Chief Operating Officer Reetta Arokoski, both with decades of experience advancing cancer-care technologies worldwide.

“Gosta Labs’ team combines proven startup execution, deep domain expertise, and top-tier AI talent. They’ve built and scaled before and know what excellence looks like, an essential trait for any startup,” said Jussi Sainiemi, Partner at Voima Ventures. “There’s plenty of noise around AI, but Gosta delivers real value, and customers love the product.”

“We founded Gosta Labs to bring AI support to highly complex medical specialties like oncology, giving care teams back time and focus by taking on the documentation that drains their day,” said Lauri Sippola, CEO and Co-Founder. “This funding enables us to bring our trusted AI assistant to oncology teams worldwide and strengthen our medical-grade product and AI foundation, so every patient encounter becomes safer, more personal, and less burdened by administration.”
