Co-founded by Palmer Luckey, Brian Schimpf(CEO), Trae Stephens(Executive Chairman), Matt Grimm(COO), and Joseph Chen, Anduril Industries has raised $2.5 Billion led by Founders Fund, which contributed $1 Billion, their biggest bet till date.
The company is valued at $30.5 Billion after this round, which was 8x times oversubscribed. Anduril develops and sells autonomous systems, particularly AI-powered unmanned aerial systems (UAS) and counter-UAS (CUAS) weapons.
Recently, Anduril was granted the U.S. Army’s enormous contract for developing new AR/VR headsets for soldiers. The contract was originally granted to Microsoft with a total $22 billion budget but was reassigned to Anduril in February. The fund raised was announced by Anduril Industries' Executive Chairman Trae Stephens in an interview with Bloomberg TV.
