Decagon, the AI concierge for every customer, led by Jesse Zhang and Ashwin Sreenivas, has secured $250 million in funding, led by new investors Coatue Management and Index Ventures, with participation from new investors ChemistryVC, Definition Capital, and Starwood Capital, and continued support from existing investors including a16z, A*, Accel, Avra, Bain Capital Ventures, Elad Gil, Forerunner, Ribbit Capital, and T.Capital.
Decagon’s latest funding follows a standout year, during which over 100 new global enterprise customers, including Avis Budget Group, Mercado Libre, and Deutsche Telekom, joined the platform. The round underscores how a differentiated, concierge-style product approach can outperform legacy, incumbent strategies.
Over the past thirty years, the internet consumer economy has scaled exponentially, first online sales, then customizable storefronts, and finally universal digital commerce. Ironically, this scale has eroded the customer experience. From ticket queues to case IDs to endless hold times, humans collectively waste the equivalent of at least 366 lifetimes daily just navigating poor CX. Globally, this mismatch between scale and quality imposes a $3.7 trillion risk on businesses. The next inflection point, agentic commerce, could redefine this dynamic entirely.
It’s not the businesses’ fault; it’s the tools. Legacy systems force humans into rigid workflows:
CRMs “manage” relationships, not nurture them.
Chatbots route messages, not resolve them.
First-gen AI agents prioritize routing over results.
Decagon flips the script: AI-native technology by AI-native teams, built for outcomes, not bureaucracy.
Every customer deserves an experience that’s personal, proactive, and 24/7, like having a concierge just for them.
Modern AI makes this possible: agents learn, adapt, and improve from feedback, just like a human teammate. No more slow engineering sprints or endless support tickets, speed and iteration become the new levers for quality and personalization.
For our customers, Decagon isn’t just a tool; it’s part of their enterprise AI strategy. It drives cost reduction, revenue growth, and, most importantly, brand trust at scale. Lengthy configuration cycles or armies of engineers won’t cut it, only concierge and fast.
“At Avis Budget Group, earning customer trust at scale demands operational excellence and rethinking service delivery,” says Brian Choi, CEO. “With Decagon, we’re shifting from reactive service to intelligent, concierge-led experiences, empowering frontline teams to resolve issues faster and smarter. As AI becomes foundational, partnerships like this turn innovation into meaningful results.”
From Fortune 100 enterprises to advanced tech companies like Oura Health, Affirm, and Chime, all are aligned on one principle: concierge customer experiences deliver measurable ROI.
“Decagon is helping redefine how businesses engage with their customers,” says Lucas Swisher, GP at Coatue Management. “Its platform gives enterprises control, transparency, and speed in deploying AI agents at scale. As AI drives hyperscale commerce, Decagon is modernizing customer engagement, which is why leading companies in travel, healthcare, and beyond are choosing them.”
“We’re investing in Jesse and Ashwin because they’re reimagining customer experience from first principles, designed with taste, intention, and delight,” says Sofia Dolfe, Partner at Index Ventures. “They’re building the early future of what’s next, even when the present feels locked in. History shows that mindset creates category-defining companies, from Figma to Robinhood, and Decagon is next.”
In the age of AI, meaningful alignment is everything. By enabling concierge experiences both personally and at scale, we bring customers and businesses back into economic harmony, building trust, efficiency, and shared prosperity in AI-driven commerce.
We’re grateful to our customers, partners, and investors for supporting this vision: everyone deserves concierge-level care, and every business deserves the technology to make it possible.
