Andreessen Horowitz leads Multi-Modal Content Creation Platform - Hedra's $32 Million Series A.

Led by Michael Lingelbach(Founder & CEO), Jason Wilson(Engineering Lead), Erna Balayan(Product Marketing Manager), Terrance Wang(Research Engineer), Hongwei Yi(Research Scientist), Mustafa Isik(Research Scientist), & Joseph Giordano(Software Engineer), AI Content Generation Platform Hedra Inc has raised $32 Million in Series A led by Andreessen Horowitz's Infrastructure fund, with Matt Bornstein joining the board, with participation from existing investors a16z speedrun, Abstract, and Index Ventures.
Hedra came out of stealth in 2024 with its high-speed, controllable video foundation model Character-1 and has since then gone deeper into these foundation models with the release of their latest model Character-3, its first omnimodal foundation model in production for AI character video.
They have also launched Hedra Studio, a platform for individual creators to marketing teams - turn their ideas into expressive video content in just a few clicks.
