Wayve, a developer of autonomous technology powered by end-to-end AI, led by Alex Kendall, Erez Dagan, Max Warburton, Jamie Shotton, Emma Baillie, and others, announced it has signed a letter of intent with NVIDIA to evaluate a $500 million strategic investment in Wayve’s next funding round.

The investment builds on NVIDIA’s Series C participation in Wayve and supports the company’s ongoing growth. Leveraging Wayve’s foundation model approach with NVIDIA’s automotive-grade computing platforms, the partnership provides automakers with advanced AI and hardware to deliver safe, scalable, production-ready autonomous driving solutions worldwide.

Wayve and NVIDIA have partnered since 2018, with each generation of Wayve’s robot platforms powered by NVIDIA technology. The upcoming Wayve Gen 3 platform will run on NVIDIA DRIVE AGX Thor.

NVIDIA DRIVE AGX Thor, powered by NVIDIA’s Blackwell GPU architecture and running the safety-certified DriveOS with the Halos safety system, underpins Wayve Gen 3. The platform advances embodied AI, moving the Wayve AI Driver closer to eyes-off (Level 3) and fully driverless (Level 4) capabilities in both urban and highway settings.
