TiHive, an industrial deeptech company specializing in real-time, non-destructive, see-through quality and process control on production lines, led by Hani Sherry, Carlos Prada, Marc Stoerr, and others, has secured €8 million from Karista, Wind, and the EIC Fund to accelerate its growth and expand internationally.

TiHive’s industrial-grade terahertz imaging devices, powered by AI for real-time, non-destructive inspections on production lines, are already adopted by major industrial groups and are now scaling globally. The new funding will accelerate commercialization, expand international deployment across hygiene, textiles, recycling, agriculture, and space, and drive R&D for next-generation terahertz chips with extended frequencies and advanced AI capabilities.

Backed by the EIC Accelerator and Bpifrance, TiHive developed breakthrough terahertz and AI-based inspection solutions, validated by global hygiene leaders and demonstrating strong industrial ROI. Entering a new phase of international commercialization, TiHive is supported by a consortium of deeptech and industrial investors, including the EIC Fund, Karista, and Wind, a €130M Article 9 deeptech VC fund focused on climate adaptation.

TiHive’s AI-powered, chip-scale terahertz systems are integrated directly into production lines, measuring the quality and stability of thousands of products per minute. Using proprietary CMOS chips paired with advanced THz optics and AI software, the technology delivers safe, see-through sensing for applications spanning hygiene, packaging, recycling, agriculture, textiles, ceramics, aerospace, medical imaging, and secure communications.

By embedding terahertz on CMOS chips, TiHive achieves miniaturization, scalable mass production, low energy consumption, and high-speed performance. Its multi-camera, multi-source systems operate in harsh industrial environments, enabling 100% inline, non-destructive inspection and solving quality control challenges beyond the reach of existing solutions.

Adopted by leading hygiene companies, TiHive’s vision systems reduce raw material waste, improve product quality, increase production efficiency, and deliver both economic and ecological benefits. The company has built the world’s largest database for diaper quality, analyzing millions of products weekly, with a billion-product milestone expected soon. TiHive’s technology enhances everyday products like baby diapers and sanitary pads while helping manufacturers cut costs, maximize uptime, and detect faults instantly.

After proving itself in the absorbent hygiene industry, TiHive is expanding into sectors where non-destructive inspection is critical amid growing regulatory pressure: recycling (impurity detection and raw material analysis), agriculture (seed and crop quality), aerospace (verification of critical materials on Earth and in orbit), and textiles/leather (fiber and material quality). Its annual subscription model bundles equipment, AI-powered analytics, monitoring, and operational support.

With deployments in the Netherlands, the U.S., Italy, and Greece, TiHive is expanding across Europe, Latin America, and Asia-Pacific. The company is scaling operations with new hires in sales, marketing, customer support, and terahertz IC and AI development. Staying true to its European roots, TiHive produces, assembles, and validates its systems in Europe, supporting the continent’s technological sovereignty.
