Skyfall AI Unveils SKY-001: A Frontier Engineering World Model

Skyfall AI, a neolab building the first autonomous enterprise, led by Sam Pasupalak, Kaheer Suleman, and Sumit Pasupalak, has announced SKY-001, the first world model for designing complex physical products. SKY-001 helps turn an idea into a structured physical design, planning the sequence of steps needed to construct its geometry in computer-aided design (CAD) and building information modeling (BIM) software. The model advances Skyfall’s core mission of building the first autonomous enterprise by enabling the automation of physical products.
SKY-001 introduces spatial planning and recursive 3D reasoning, enabling thousands of design variations to be evaluated before real-world implementation. The system automates CAD workflows across applications ranging from vehicles and drones to satellites and medical facilities.
Existing generative AI models produce surface-level 3D geometry without accounting for engineering constraints, hierarchical architecture, or parametric CAD structures. Engineers must still spend thousands of hours manually translating designs into precise CAD parts, construction sequences, and functional sub-assemblies.
"By replacing brute-force LLM calls with long-term planning world models, token costs will plummet," said Sam Pasupalak, Co-founder and CEO of Skyfall AI. "Driven by Jevons' paradox, lower marginal compute costs will electrify adoption, helping usher in a future where intelligence is as ubiquitous and affordable as electricity."
Skyfall’s SKY-001 is a hierarchical spatial world model that converts text prompts and 2D sketches into executable CAD workflows. It recursively plans parametric modeling operations, from assembly structures to individual sketches and 3D features, aiming to produce structurally valid designs compatible with standard CAD and BIM environments.
Key features include:
Parallel Design Exploration: Generates multiple design iterations simultaneously.
Recursive 3D Decomposition: Breaks complex designs into precise, hierarchical components.
2D-to-3D Translation: Converts rough sketches and spatial relationships into 3D representations.
3D Construction: Reassembles individual components into unified 3D models for visualization in CAD software such as Autodesk Fusion.
SKY-001 claims up to 100x faster performance and 150x lower costs than leading frontier and open-source models, alongside higher precision for complex physical design tasks. Skyfall AI is offering an initial research preview, with commercial deployment targeted for early 2027 as part of its broader autonomous enterprise initiatives.
