Recall AI, the API to get recordings, transcripts, and metadata from meetings, led by David Gu and Amanda Zhu, has raised Series B led by Bessemer Venture Partners, with participation from HubSpot Ventures, Salesforce Ventures, Ridge Ventures, YCombinator, RTP Ventures, as well as notable angels including Paul Graham, founder of YCombinator, Solomon Hykes, founder of Docker, Michael Siebel, founder of Twitch.tv, and Eoghan McCabe, founder of Intercom.

Recall.ai unlocks conversations, the largest untapped dataset, for AI products, enabling automation of tasks like CRM updates, follow-ups, and clinical notes by capturing the critical context exchanged verbally at work.

Recall.ai provides the API for meeting recording, giving developers seamless access to conversation data, the world’s largest dataset, to capture, store, and analyze for powering AI products.

More than 2,000 companies, including leaders like HubSpot, DataDog, and Calendly, as well as high-growth startups like ClickUp, Apollo.io, and Affinity, rely on Recall.ai to power AI products that process millions of hours of conversation each week.

The new Desktop Recording SDK expands Recall.ai’s infrastructure beyond meeting bots, giving developers a way to capture conversations locally from a user’s device. It allows recording across Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, and even in-person meetings, with support for speaker identification, participant events, real-time video, and rich metadata. Recordings are reliably uploaded and processed even under poor network conditions—all without requiring a bot to join the meeting.

Recall.ai will use the new funding to expand its product with APIs and SDKs for any type of conversation, including a Mobile SDK for in-person meetings and calls. A self-serve flow is now available for startups, while enterprises can access custom demos. Security and compliance are built in, with certifications including SOC2, HIPAA, ISO 27001, GDPR, and CCPA.
