Tree.ly, led by Jodok Batlogg(Founder & Managing Director, Now - CEO of Pina Earth), Lukas Bals(Co-Founder, Head of Engineering), Tobias Sutterlüty(Co-Founder, Design & Marketing), Christian Lutz(Founder & Managing Director), and others, merged with Pina Earth, a Carbon Credit Platform for forest owners, led by Dr. Gesa Biermann(Co-Founder and CEO) and Florian Fincke(Co-Founder and CTO), to build Europe’s leading tech-enabled forest carbon platform. The combined company will operate as Pina Earth, led by Tree.ly founders Jodok Batlogg and Christian Lutz. Both are seasoned tech entrepreneurs now focused on scaling nature-based climate solutions in Europe. Their leadership brings strong operational and strategic experience to drive the next phase of growth. Pina Earth co-founders Dr. Gesa Biermann and Florian Fincke will transition into strategic advisory roles, supporting integration and helping guide the long-term vision. Their continued involvement ensures that the new company remains grounded in the values, scientific rigor, and impact focus that defined Pina Earth’s early success.

The combined company now operates across Germany, Austria, Switzerland, the Czech Republic, Italy, and Hungary, managing over 80,000 hectares of forest and generating more than 500,000 tCO₂ in certified regional carbon credits. With a network of 100+ corporate buyers, it becomes the largest tech-enabled forest carbon project developer in Europe and the clear market leader in the DACH region, posting 5x annual revenue growth.

Carbon buyers gain access to a broader, more scalable portfolio of nature-based projects spanning multiple methodologies, certification standards, and geographies. This includes high volumes of certified credits, strong transparency, and a continued focus on biodiversity and regional impact.

As climate pressures mount, this merger accelerates efforts to scale high-integrity forest protection across Europe. It helps close the funding gap for nature-based solutions, simplifies access to certified regional carbon credits, and strengthens the company's ability to navigate evolving EU regulations like the Carbon Removal Certification Framework (CRCF).
