Lithuania-Based Astrolight Bags Euro 2.8 Million for Dual Use Optical Communication System.

Founded by Laurynas Mačiulis(CEO), Dalius Petrulionis(CTO), Julijanas Želudevičius(Senior Engineer), & Martynas Milaševičius(Production Manager), Astrolight raised Euro 2.8 Million led by Balnord and participated by EIFOCoinvest Capital, and existing investors 3NGLS and Rita Sakus. 


Astrolight is developing a dual-use communication architecture that can handle both space-to-space and space-to-ground optical links. Astrolight plans to deploy its first operational optical ground station and demonstrate a hybrid optical terminal for both space-to-ground and space-to-space communication. This system will be built on its existing ATLAS-1 modular platform.
