Infinite Orbits, providing geostationary operators with all the in-orbit services they need, from the inspection of their assets to the extension of their lifespan and the management of the end-of-life phase, led by Adel Haddoud and the team, has announced the acquisition of UK-based Lúnasa Space, led by Amin Chabi, marking the company’s establishment in the United Kingdom and reinforcing its Endurance life-extension servicer through enhanced rendezvous and docking capabilities.
The acquisition comes as the UK increases its focus on in-orbit servicing and proximity operations. Following the recent integration of LMO in Luxembourg, the move marks another step in Infinite Orbits’ European expansion, strengthening its presence across France, Luxembourg, Spain, and the United Kingdom.
The expansion into the United Kingdom strengthens Infinite Orbits’ operational and engineering presence, enabling closer collaboration with British industrial partners, research institutions, and institutional stakeholders.
Paul Bate, Chief Executive of the UK Space Agency, welcomed Infinite Orbits’ expansion, noting that safe rendezvous and proximity operations are critical for advancing sustainable space activities and enabling in-orbit servicing, assembly, and manufacturing. He added that the acquisition highlights confidence in British engineering talent and strengthens capabilities for satellite life-extension and servicing.
Lúnasa adds expertise in rendezvous, proximity operations, and docking technologies, along with advanced testing facilities for mission validation. Its technical IP, engineering team, and infrastructure strengthen the development of Endurance and support the advancement of safe, reliable in-orbit servicing and satellite life-extension missions.
Adel Haddoud, CEO of Infinite Orbits, said the acquisition reflects the company’s belief that Europe’s space industry must collaborate rather than remain fragmented. By combining expertise from across the continent, Infinite Orbits aims to strengthen its position in the global in-orbit services market while safeguarding European technological sovereignty.
Amin Chabi, CEO of Lúnasa, said joining Infinite Orbits will allow Lúnasa’s technologies and engineering capabilities to scale within an operational in-orbit servicing platform, accelerating the development of advanced rendezvous, proximity operations, and satellite life-extension technologies essential for the next generation of sustainable space operations.
Infinite Orbits will present its expanded European presence at Space‑Comm Expo in London on 4 March, where media representatives can visit the company’s booth for interviews and discussions on its UK expansion and the Endurance roadmap.
