ICEYE, building actionable intelligence for resilience, readiness & response, led by Rafal Modrzewski, Pekka Laurila, and Eric Jensen, has raised EUR 450 million (USD 520 million) in a primary Series F funding round led by General Atlantic, at a valuation of over EUR 10 billion (USD 12 billion). Additional investors include Solidium, Tesi, Varma, Ilmarinen, Lifeline Ventures, as well as Nokia from Finland, Qatar Investment Authority (QIA), and TCV. Together with a secondary placement, the total Series F funding round exceeds EUR 1 billion.

Expanding Sovereign Space Intelligence.

The diverse investor group reflects growing recognition that sovereign access to space-based intelligence is becoming increasingly important for national security and resilience.

To date, seven European governments have procured sovereign satellite systems from ICEYE, making it a leading provider of space-based intelligence. The new funding will support the company's global expansion and further development of its intelligence capabilities, enabling it to meet rising demand from governments and commercial customers for sovereign satellite systems, data, and intelligence services.

Investors Back ICEYE's Next Phase Of Growth.

Rafal Modrzewski said the funding reflects growing confidence in the importance of sovereign space-based intelligence, adding that ICEYE is well positioned to meet rising demand from governments and commercial customers. The capital will help accelerate the rollout of new intelligence capabilities and services.

Sascha Günther highlighted ICEYE's role in transforming Earth observation through its agile satellite architecture and large-scale synthetic aperture radar (SAR) constellation. He noted that the company has successfully scaled its technology into a commercially proven platform and expects global demand for its intelligence capabilities to continue growing.

Nokia Joins As A Strategic Investor.

Nokia has joined ICEYE's funding round as a strategic investor, highlighting the growing convergence of secure communications and space-based intelligence.

Justin Hotard emphasized that modern defense increasingly relies on combining trusted connectivity with real-time situational awareness. By bringing together Nokia's communications expertise and ICEYE's satellite intelligence capabilities, the partnership aims to strengthen defense, resilience, and technological sovereignty across Europe while supporting the development of more secure and adaptable critical infrastructure systems.

Strong Growth And Scaling Production.

The Series F round follows a year of strong momentum for ICEYE. In 2025, the company surpassed €250 million in revenue and €100 million in EBITDA, while building a contracted backlog exceeding €1.5 billion.

To meet growing demand, ICEYE is expanding its manufacturing capacity, with annual satellite production set to increase from 50 satellites today to 100 satellites per year by 2028, supported by a corresponding increase in launch frequency.

Rapid Deployment Of Sovereign Space Systems.

Each sovereign satellite system deployed by ICEYE expands not only a nation's independent intelligence capabilities but also a broader network of space-based awareness.

A recent example is ICEYE's delivery of a fully operational sovereign space system to the Polish Armed Forces in just 12 months from contract signing, one of the fastest sovereign space deployments on record. The company is now replicating this model across Europe, the Middle East, and Asia as demand for sovereign intelligence capabilities continues to accelerate.
