SkyFi, an AI-first Earth intelligence platform, led by Luke Fischer, Bill Perkins, and others, has raised a $12.7 million in an oversubscribed Series A funding round co-led by Buoyant Ventures and IronGate Capital Advisors, with new participation from DNV Ventures, TFX Capital, Beyond Earth Ventures, Nova Threshold, and Chris Morisoli, and existing investors RSquared VC and J2 Ventures.
The investment will fuel faster product development and strengthen SkyFi’s technology, from its platform UI to advanced analytics. The company also plans to deepen partnerships with satellite operators, expanding its on-demand imagery and AI-powered analytic capabilities for commercial and government customers worldwide.
SkyFi now works with 50+ geospatial imagery partners, offering optical, SAR, hyperspectral, and aerial data, plus analytics across sectors like defense, energy, finance, infrastructure, agriculture, and more. Its intuitive web and mobile platform simplifies access to complex satellite imagery, giving businesses, governments, and individuals actionable insights without requiring specialized expertise.
SkyFi CEO Luke Fischer said the funding reflects rising demand for accessible Earth observation data. He emphasized that geospatial intelligence is vital across defense and commercial sectors, from supply chain and asset monitoring to insurance, real estate, energy, agriculture, and environmental protection. The new capital will help SkyFi scale its platform and bring satellite insights to a broader global audience.
A World Economic Forum–Deloitte report estimates Earth data created $266B in value in 2023 and could exceed $700B by 2030, with cumulative economic benefits reaching $3.8T while supporting climate and nature outcomes.
Buoyant Ventures’ Laura Katzman said SkyFi is making satellite insights affordable and intuitive, unlocking applications in energy, agriculture, climate, disaster response, and defense.
IronGate Capital’s Hamlet Yousef added that fast, accessible intelligence is essential amid global disruptions, and SkyFi’s platform delivers the actionable geospatial data needed across both commercial and national security use cases.
SkyFi saw major growth in 2025, launching custom platforms for top satellite partners, including Vantor (formerly Maxar Intelligence), ICEYE US, and Planet, to enable on-demand access to advanced high-resolution imagery and analytics. The company was also selected for NATO’s DIANA 2026 Challenge Programme, chosen as one of just 150 companies from 3,600 applicants across 24 member nations.
