Hardline, redefining construction communication through AI-powered call documentation that protects your business, one conversation at a time, led by Alena Tuttle, Karly Heffernan, and Kimball Hill, has announced a $2 million pre-seed round led by Mucker Capital.

The funding will help accelerate product development, deepen integrations with existing construction platforms, and expand Hardline’s go-to-market efforts across commercial and residential construction.

The company is targeting an industry that loses an estimated $31 billion annually to rework caused by poor communication and documentation.

Hardline captures phone calls and onsite verbal updates from superintendents and project managers, converting them into structured records such as daily logs, RFIs, punch lists, and change orders.

The platform integrates with tools including Procore, Autodesk Forma, and Fieldwire by Hilti, while supporting multiple languages.

“One of construction’s biggest challenges is that critical project information often stays trapped in calls and onsite conversations instead of entering systems of record,” said Parker Mundt, Partner and Head of Platform at Suffolk Technologies. “Hardline stands out because it fits naturally into existing workflows, capturing valuable jobsite data without adding friction for field teams.”

Hardline joined the Suffolk Technologies BOOST Accelerator in 2025 and was named among BuiltWorlds’ “40 AI-Driven Solutions to Watch in 2026.”

The company was also a finalist for Best Business Technology at the 2026 International Builders’ Show, hosted by the National Association of Home Builders.

“Alena and Karly are the kind of founders we look to back, creative, execution-focused, and deeply informed by industry experience,” said Michelle McBane, Managing Director at StandUp Ventures. “Their modern solution is both novel and seamless for users.”

Hardline targets contractors with 30 to 100 employees, a segment characterized by high call volume and lean back-office operations.

The platform integrates directly with Procore, Autodesk Forma, and Fieldwire, while supporting both English and Spanish natively.

Hardline is already deployed across 10 U.S. states and two countries, serving commercial general contractors, residential builders, and specialty trade firms.

“The administrative burden on field managers is growing as back-office teams shrink and daily reporting often gets skipped,” said Gregg Wallace, General Partner at Nirman Ventures. “Hardline is bringing forward a voice-first approach that fits naturally into the platforms builders already use, without adding a learning curve.”
