Firecrawl, a web data api for AI, led by Caleb Peffer, Eric Ciarla, and Nicolas Silberstein Camara, has raised $14.5 million in Series A funding led by Nexus Venture Partners and saw participation from Y Combinator, Zapier, Tobias Lütke, Abhinav Asthana(CEO of Postman), and Matt McClure(Founder of Mux).

Firecrawl is putting the web’s knowledge on tap for AI. With over 350,000 developers signed up, its open-source project has surpassed 48k stars on GitHub. Companies like Zapier, Shopify, and Replit are already using Firecrawl to power their applications. The company has grown 15x over the past year—and this is just the beginning.

The web is the most complete real-time record of human knowledge—but it’s fragmented and hard for AI to access. Firecrawl makes this data programmable through a powerful toolkit for web search and extraction, bridging the gap between AI and the web.

Firecrawl is focused on three core areas: scaling its proprietary Fire-Engine infrastructure for faster, more reliable performance; expanding its product with smarter, faster, and more intuitive web data tools; and building sustainable partnerships to ensure publishers benefit when their content powers AI.
