Nothreat, an AI-powered preemptive cybersecurity platform, led by Sergej Kostenko, Vojislav Simic, Lev Zabudko, and the team, has tested a way to identify suspicious activity before an AI-powered attack could spread.

Nothreat Tests Digital Twins to Detect Early Signs of AI-Driven Cyberattacks.

Anthropic research published on October 12 warned that poorly secured connected devices could potentially enable self-replicating AI to spread across networks, although real-world AI worms have not yet been demonstrated.

London-based cybersecurity company Nothreat tested its CyberEcho technology, which creates digital twins of connected devices to act as decoys and capture suspicious network activity.

In a controlled experiment, CyberEcho recorded connection attempts, commands, and transferred files without executing them. The test simulated an early-stage intrusion rather than a real AI worm, demonstrating how digital twins could help organizations identify potential threats before attacks escalate.
