Altan, an AI-powered software development platform led by Albert Salgueda and Tristán Pou, has secured $2.5 million in pre-seed funding, co-led by VentureFriends and JME Ventures, alongside 4Founders Ventures. Angels included Carles Reina (ElevenLabs), Pau Suris and Pau Sabria (Remotely), Albert Armengol (Doctoralia), David Baratech (Yaba), and Lluis Faus (vLex).

Altan offers an “agent-native” platform that lets AI-powered squads design, build, and operate software autonomously, eliminating the delays, costs, and manual upkeep typical of traditional no-code and low-code tools.

Altan, founded in 2024 in Barcelona by Albert Salgueda (CEO) and Tristán Pou (CTO), addresses the gap between abundant ideas and scarce technical talent. The platform enables anyone to turn concepts into production-ready software, with AI agents autonomously running projects. Its seven-person founding team combines serial entrepreneurs, Cambridge and MIT graduates, and former Meta engineers, all focused on redefining software in the AI era.

Altan’s platform uses AI agents to build apps and autonomously manage all supporting infrastructure and workflows. For instance, a restaurant could launch a website, automate bookings, maintain a customer database, and deploy an AI agent to handle reservations. The platform has attracted over 25,000 users, including non-technical founders like Julius Kopp, who generated $10,000 in monthly recurring revenue within 60 days.

Altan will use the new funding to expand its team, enhance technology, and grow its global user base, with the long-term goal of creating fully autonomous companies that operate without daily human involvement.
