Ursa Major, delivering mission-ready propulsion across missile defense, hypersonics, in-space mobility, and launch, led by Dan Jablonsky, Bill Nash, Brad Appel, and others, has closed $100 million in its Series E funding round and received an additional $50 million in debt funding commitments. Investors include both new and long-term supporters of Ursa Major’s mission, including Eclipse, which led the round, and were joined by Woodline Partners, Principia Growth, XN, and Alsop Louie Partners, among other institutional shareholders. Ursa Major also announced more than $115 million in bookings through the first three quarters of 2025, which includes both government and commercial partnerships with the U.S. Department of DefenseU.S. Air Force Research Laboratory,  Stratolaunch, and BAE Systems

Ursa Major is using the investment to strengthen the U.S. industrial base with modern solutions that deliver capabilities more quickly and cost-effectively than legacy providers. The company will accelerate deployment of its throttleable, storable, liquid-fueled hypersonic and space-based defense system, while also scaling production of solid rocket motors and sustained space-mobility platforms.

Ursa Major recently added Ronald Sugar and Gilman Louie to its corporate board. Since the previous funding round, the company has completed multiple flights of its hypersonic engines and tactical missiles, demonstrating rapid and sustained progress.

Dan Jablonsky, CEO of Ursa Major, noted that the company’s recent milestones, including multiple hypersonic flights, advances in solid rocket motor programs, progress in space-propulsion testing, and a record booking portfolio, signal the beginning of a significant new phase of growth. Jablonsky added that the latest investment strengthens the company’s ability to address key industrial base and national security challenges for the United States and its allies.

Lior Susan, Founding Partner at Eclipse, noted that Ursa Major is one of the few defense companies successfully scaling manufacturing and supply chains to deliver hypersonic systems and advanced propulsion at industrial scale. Susan highlighted Eclipse’s support for the company’s mission to strengthen the U.S. and allied industrial base with deployable, domestic capability.
