UK-Based AI Legal Tech Platform Valla Raises $2.7 Million.

Led by Danae Shell(CEO), Jeff Swan(CTO), & Linda Grant(Chief Marketing Officer), Valla raises a $2.7 Million seed round led by Ada Ventures. Active Partners and Portfolio Ventures, as well as returning investors Techstart and Resolution Foundation, also invested. 

Valla empowers individuals to handle their legal matters by allowing them to gather evidence, generate necessary documents, and consult with legal experts for guidance at each stage of their case. For instance, users can document a workplace issue, draft a Tribunal claim, and then buy a coaching package to help them prepare for the preliminary hearing, according to CEO Shell.

The new funding will be used to strengthen marketing efforts, deepen partnerships with worker unions and insurers, and develop additional AI-driven features on the platform. Following its focus on employment law, the company plans to expand into areas such as small claims and tenancy disputes.
