TERASi Announces €11m Seed Round
TERASi, a Swedish spinout from KTH Royal Institute of Technology, specializing in next-generation high-frequency wireless solutions that combine cutting-edge design techniques and scalable manufacturing, led by James Campion, Adrian Gomez, and Bernhard Beuerle, has raised €11 million to scale the deployment of its wireless systems for unjammable and undetectable communication, a pressing capability gap for Europe. The round was co-led by the NATO Innovation Fund and JOIN Capital, with participation from new backers In-Q-Tel and D3, and returning investors Navigare Ventures, Almi Invest, STING, Onsight Ventures, Further Than Capital, and KTH Ventures.
Modern military operations increasingly depend on autonomous systems and real-time data, creating demand for secure, high-capacity connectivity even when conventional infrastructure, satellites, GPS, or radio-frequency networks are unavailable or disrupted. TERASi addresses this gap as a European producer of millimetre-wave hardware for tactical communications.
Its patented AirCore technology uses highly directional millimetre-wave beams to create secure, resilient wireless links. Pocket-sized units can be deployed within minutes on tactical platforms, tripods, or drones, with claimed speeds up to 50× faster than satellite links and ranges exceeding 100 km.
The new funding will support product development, production scale-up, and expansion of TERASi’s engineering and field teams. The company is also developing an integrated system spanning connectivity, spatial awareness, and electronic warfare.
TERASi works with defence primes, the Swedish Armed Forces, the European Space Agency, and European telecom providers.
