Sun.solar, a solar equipment marketplace that connects installers with sellers, led by Agata Krawiec-Rokita, Bartosz Majewski, Krzysztof Rejek, Filip Kierzkowski, Rafał Szcześniewski, and others, has secured €6 million seed funding round co-led by Contrarian Ventures, Market One Capital, and Movens Capital, with participation from FJ Labs, Push Ventures, and Aidiom.

Solar and storage procurement in Europe has long been fragmented, relying on emails, calls, and spreadsheets that slow transactions and obscure pricing. Launched in October 2023, Sun.Store digitizes procurement, helping installers, distributors, and EPCs trade efficiently while supporting Europe’s urgent clean energy transition.

In under two years, Sun.Store has become Europe’s largest B2B digital marketplace for solar components, with 35,000 users across 25+ countries, 2,500 buyers, 500+ active sellers, and access to 200+ brands in 1,000+ warehouses. The platform has facilitated 1.4 GW of photovoltaic components, 1,000+ monthly transactions averaging €8,000, and 90% cross-border EU trade, demonstrating both the scale of the opportunity and the urgency of transforming solar procurement.

The new funding will accelerate product development, enhance merchant support by onboarding more sellers and expanding technical assistance, and grow commercial, product, and operations teams in Warsaw and beyond.

While initially focused on solar and storage, Sun.Store aims to become the digital infrastructure for all clean energy equipment, from heat pumps and HVAC to e-mobility and electrical components. Europe’s clean energy transition is complex, but with the right tools, it can be fast and scalable, Sun.Store provides those tools.
