Legora, the collaborative AI platform for lawyers, led by Max Junestrand, Sigge Labor, and August Erseus, has raised $150 million at a $1.8 billion valuation, led by Bessemer Venture Partners, with significant investment from existing investors ICONIQ, General Catalyst, Redpoint Ventures, Benchmark, and Y Combinator, to accelerate its global expansion and growing product roadmap.
Legora’s funding comes amid surging demand for its AI platform over the past six months, with its customer base rising from 250 to 400+ and market reach doubling from 20 to 40+. The company now works with leading global law firms and enterprises, including Linklaters, Cleary Gottlieb, Goodwin, and MinterEllison, not just as customers but as strategic partners. Today, tens of thousands of legal professionals rely on Legora daily to research with precision, draft more effectively, and collaborate seamlessly.
Max Junestrand, CEO and co-founder of Legora, said the company is experiencing unprecedented global demand as legal teams rapidly adopt AI. “Our mission is to empower the lawyer of the future by enabling seamless collaboration between human and machine intelligence,” he said, adding that Legora is quickly becoming the go-to partner for leading law firms. “We’ve made strong progress, but we’re just getting started, and we’re focused on building lasting impact across the legal profession.”
Legora’s growth is fueled by a deeply collaborative approach to AI adoption, acting not just as a platform, but as a strategic partner from onboarding through global rollout. This hands-on model ensures solutions that fit seamlessly into legal workflows and deliver immediate, lasting impact. With offices in Stockholm, London, New York, Denver, and Sydney, Legora now has nearly 200 legal and technology experts. The company plans to more than double its team and expand its global hubs in the coming year to support rising international demand.
