Shubhanshu Shukla Becomes the First Indian to Travel to the International Space Station and the Second Indian Ever to the Space After Rakesh Sharma.

A very proud moment for India. Shubhanshu Shukla became the first Indian to travel to the ISS and the second Indian to travel to space after Rakesh Sharma in 1984. Shubhanshu Shukla is part of the AX-4 mission of Axiom Space, a company led by Tejpaul Bhatia, a person of Indian origin born in New York.


The AX-4 mission was scheduled to launch a couple of weeks ago, read here, but was postponed due to unfavorable weather and technical conditions.
