Scintil Photonics, a fabless company developing and commercializing laser-integrated photonics for the AI data center, led by Matt Crowley, Sylvie Menezo, Yannick Paillard, Olivier Potavin, Jim Theodoras, and Julien Noel, has raised $58 million led by Yotta Capital Partners and NGP Capital, with participation from NVIDIA. The round includes new participation from BNP Paribas Développement, alongside existing investors including Supernova Invest, Bpifrance Digital Venture, Innovacom, Bosch Ventures, and Applied Ventures ITIC Innovation Fund (AVITIC).

Scintil’s new funding will drive global hiring, boost production, and advance delivery of its single-chip DWDM light engine—integrating multi-wavelength lasers with silicon photonics for next-gen CPO. Purpose-built for AI infrastructure, the solution enables high-bandwidth, low-latency, and high-density performance to power future GPU clusters.

Scintil’s SHIP™ (Scintil Heterogeneous Integration Photonics) platform integrates lasers, photodiodes, and modulators on a single chip, replacing dozens of discrete components with unmatched performance, efficiency, and density. Spun out of CEA-Leti, the company has built its technology on a commercial supply chain with mass manufacturing readiness.

The Series B will accelerate the commercial ramp of LEAF Light™, a DWDM-native single-chip light engine built on Scintil’s SHIP™ platform. Delivering 6.4 Tbps/mm edge bandwidth density at one-sixth the power of conventional solutions, it enables low-power, high-density optical connectivity for scale-up GPU clusters and next-gen AI systems while reducing data center carbon footprint.

The funding will drive Scintil’s global expansion from its base in Grenoble, a leading photonics and semiconductor hub, while establishing a U.S. presence to serve hyperscale and AI partners. With active hiring across engineering, operations, and customer integration, Scintil is positioned to meet growing demand and deliver integrated optical technologies for next-generation AI factories.
