Founded by Amit Pinnamaneni(CTO) And Edward G.(CEO), Aethero Bags $8.4 Million in Seed Funding led by Kindred Ventures partner Steve Jang and saw participation from Neo, Giant Step Capital, O’Shaughnessy Ventures, and Alumni Ventures.
Aethero builds hardware and software to power next-generation chips in space, enabling on-orbit data processing, deep learning, and greater spacecraft autonomy. The company is enhancing its space computers by adding more radiation shielding, improving onboard error correction and fault mitigation, and refining thermal management systems as space radiations can cause bit flips.
Aethero plans to launch its next demo mission in February 2026, featuring an upgraded computer powered by an Nvidia Super Orin NX SoM chip. A third mission is also in the works, set to fly on an ESPA-class spacecraft, though its timeline is still being finalized.
Aethero is pitching its technology to potential customers, including NASA, for integration into space vehicles. Its first computer system supports flexible over-the-air software updates and features an expandable ecosystem, enabling it to replace other satellite components such as software-defined radios.
