SambaNova, the fastest AI inference platform, led by Rodrigo Liang, Kunle Olukotun, Christopher Re, and Lip-Bu Tan, has announced it has completed the first close of $1 billion in strategic financing as part of a Series F round, valuing the company at $11 billion post-money. This latest financing round was led by General Atlantic, a leading global investor, with significant investment from Seligman Ventures, T. Rowe Price Associates, Inc., and Capital Group. New and existing investors include A&E Investment, Assam Ventures, Battery Ventures, funds and accounts managed by BlackRock, Cambium Capital, Intel Capital, Kabila Capital, QFO Capital, Qatar Investment Authority (QIA), Vista Equity Partners and Volantis.
According to MartÃn Escobari, SambaNova's platform is differentiated through an architecture built for a market where AI inference has become foundational to enterprise and industrial transformation. Escobari highlighted the company's deep technical innovation, growing commercial momentum, and its ability to capitalize on accelerating demand for inference, adding that the investment reflects confidence in SambaNova's role in shaping the next generation of AI infrastructure.
Umesh Padval described SambaNova as a category-defining AI infrastructure company at a time when enterprise AI is shifting from model training to production deployment. Padval noted that lowering cost per token while maintaining performance and efficiency will be critical for enterprise adoption and pointed to the company's purpose-built Reconfigurable Dataflow Unit (RDU) architecture as being well positioned to address those challenges at scale.
The fresh capital follows a period of strong momentum for SambaNova, marked by leadership expansion, a broader global customer base, deeper collaboration with Intel on heterogeneous inference, and the launch of its SN50 chip alongside a $350 million-plus funding round. The new investment will support capacity expansion, product innovation, and the scaling of full-stack AI infrastructure for enterprise, sovereign AI, neo-cloud, and service provider customers worldwide.
SambaNova also announced that JPMorganChase has selected the company as an inference infrastructure partner, deploying its SN40 and SN50 systems for secure, on-premises AI inference. Darrin Alves said the deployment reflects the firm's focus on high-performance, reliable AI infrastructure capable of supporting demanding enterprise workloads.
