Sail Research, infrastructure for long-horizon agents, led by Neil Movva and Samir Menon, has officially announced its launch, with a seed round led by Sequoia and a Series A led by Kleiner Perkins.

Infrastructure for Long-Horizon Agents.

Sail is building infrastructure designed specifically for long-horizon AI agents, combining highly efficient inference for open models with sandbox environments capable of running workloads for days or weeks at a time. The platform focuses on optimizing cost, scale, and reliability for agent-based systems that operate continuously rather than in short, interactive sessions.

The company has raised $80M in funding, with its seed round led by Sequoia and Series A led by Kleiner Perkins. The capital will be used to develop a vertically integrated stack, from hardware selection and custom inference engines to global fleet orchestration, aimed at maximizing compute efficiency and reducing cost per token for large-scale agent workloads.
